ATP Is Always Ready to Support Equality

ATP is Always Ready to Support Equality
ATP has always been focused and dedicated to supporting the equality of people within, and outside, of our company. At a time like this, being silent is being ignorant to those who have been affected by inequality and senseless violence. Our new slogan “always ready” reflects the way we think about situations like this. We are always ready to support the equality of all humankind, and act when needed.

As a company driven by our people, ATP stands in solidarity with our Black colleagues, partners, customers, audiences, friends, and family - condemning all acts of racism, discrimination, and senseless acts of violence.  We are also in the middle of a severe global health crisis where we must demonstrate and ask for change, while balancing social distancing, to ensure the health and safety of those who have a voice that needs to be recognized and heard.

There are many ways in which we can help this movement, such as contacting your legislator, donating to an equality-focused organization, supporting or participating in peaceful and healthy demonstrations, condemning violence, or safely volunteering in our local community. Most importantly, we can all lead by example in ensuring our children and future generations finally and fully understand that equality, is a human right.

Linked below are a sample of organizations you can donate to which are dedicated to getting justice for and promoting the equality of Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC). Whether your support is financial or by setting a positive example through actions, it is important that we all participate in some shape or form to drive change.

Throughout its history, SPLC has worked to make the nation's Constitutional ideals a reality. The SPLC legal department fights all forms of discrimination and works to protect society's most vulnerable members, handling innovative cases that few lawyers are willing to take. The SPLC Intelligence Project monitors hate groups and tracks extremist activity throughout the U.S. To combat the causes of hate, SPLC in 1991 established Teaching Tolerance, an educational program to help K-12 teachers foster respect and understanding in the classroom.

Stand Up for Human Rights is a campaign of the UN Human Rights Office, an organization mandated to uphold values that are the roots of peace and inclusion. They advocate practical solutions to fear and injustice, so governments protect the rights of all their people in line with international law. They monitor their policies and call them out if they fall short. They stand for greater freedoms. Stronger respect. More compassion. The campaign aims to encourage people to not stand by while hatred drives wedges of hostility between communities – and to instead build bridges. Be it in the street, in school, at work, in public transport; in the voting booth, on social media, at home, and on the sports field.
